Project Awards

Best Business Transformation Process
This award is designed to recognize breakthrough business change using Lean, Operational Excellence, BPM, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement or any recognized Operational Excellence tool set. Top entrants will be judged on the ability to prove their strategic and functional results, as well as clarity in execution, communication and sustainability throughout the process.

Terms and Conditions

  • There is a $150 processing fee for each award application
  • Should you be selected as a finalist you will be required to participate in an interview with the judges via telephone and/or video link up (e.g. Skype). Interviews will take place throughout the month of November.
  • All finalists must then attend the finalist feedback round on 22nd January 2018 and the Awards Ceremony on 23rd January 2018 at OPEX Week 2018. Attendance is compulsory and registering for the awards does NOT get you a ticket to OPEX Week 2018 this will need to be purchased separately. DO NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT.
  • All finalists are required to produce a poster sized infographic telling the story of their project/program. These will be displayed to all attendees at OPEX Week 2018.
  • All category winners must participate in the Award Winners Panels that will take place on Wednesday 24th January 2018 at OPEX Week 2018. These will be panel sessions including Q&A with Summit attendees; you will not be expected to divulge any confidential data, facts or figures.
  • In the event your organization becomes a finalist or a winner of a Process Excellence Award, you consent to your company’s name being used in promotion for the awards program, either by IQPC directly, or by a third party member of the media covering the awards program and/or awards ceremony.
  • Your application indicates that you have reviewed the rules and regulations for entries, and agree that all information contained within each entry is 100% accurate.

2018 PEX Award Catagories

Best Improvement Program Deployment (Over 2 Years)
This award is to recognize the vision, business impact and sustainability of mature Business Operational Excellence Programs – covering Lean, Operational Excellence, BPM, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement or any other recognized Operational Excellence tool. Entries will be judged on their strategy, capacity for delivery to business and customers, communication and also the extent to which they have created an environment for change and development for staff.
Best Project Contributing to Customer Excellence
This award is designed to recognize projects having a major impact on the customer experience. In addition to being judged for business impact and execution, the judges will also be looking for evidence of tangible improvement in customer satisfaction.
Best Start-Up Process Improvement Program (Under 2 Years)
This award will celebrate the achievements of new Business Operational Excellence programs of up to 2 years in deployment – covering Lean, Operational Excellence, BPM, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement or any other recognized Operational Excellence tool. Entrants will be judged on their abilities in direction setting, delivering business benefits and initial culture change. Start-up programs that do not have previous experience drawn from related business divisions will be marked higher.
Best Technology-Enabled Process Improvement Project
This award is designed to recognize success in individual projects where processes are improved and enabled by technology. This technology could range from automation, BPM, AI, data and analytics, CRM and many more. Applicants will be assessed on their ability to demonstrate successful results across people, process and IT Projects will be judged on initial implementation success, future sustainability, governance and business impact.
Most Innovative Approach to Driving Culture Change
This award is designed to recognize success and innovation in driving culture change within an organization. Applicants will be assessed on originality of approach, evidence of employee engagement and achievement of a cultural change over time as well as demonstration of a clear vision for what the culture change is to achieve.
Best Improvement Project Under 90 Days
This award is designed to recognize the business impact, team management and scope of projects with short cycle times and quick wins for the business. Projects in this category are expected to be no more than 90 days in length. If your project exceeds this then please submit to one of the other project categories. Points will be awarded for business impact, project execution, innovation and impact on the customer.
Most Impactful Solution Provider of the Year
Open to all solution providers (technology, service or consultancy), the award is designed to recognize solution providers who can
demonstrate outstanding performance in delivering process and operational excellence. The judges will be looking for demonstrative
and measurable evidence of successful results across process and people. Projects will be judged on implementation success, future
sustainability and business impact.

Best Automation & RPA Enabled Process Improvement Project 
This award is designed to recognize RPA projects which are having a major impact on process quality, execution and operational
speed. In addition to being judges on business impact, the judges will also be looking for evidence of tangible improvement in the
results to the customer (internal and external) through the use of RPA & Automation.

Operational Excellence Leader of the Year
This award is intended to recognize the strategic input of program or deployment leader professionals leading the company-wide improvement strategy for any recognized Operational Excellence approaches. Finalists will be expected to demonstrate vision, strategic leadership and influence at an enterprise-wide level.

Individual Award

Hall of Fame

Thanks to the past success of our Awards we are introducing a Hall of Fame. This will include some of the exceptional winners from previous awards as well as some fantastic participants who have been a constant presence at the awards. We will kick-start our Hall of Fame by inducting in 2 at our flagship Orlando Event

If you are a process professional or you work within a process team then you can apply. We are looking for industry leaders to demonstrate their skills on the big stage and be rewarded for their hard work. We are open to all industries, so if you see a catagory that you think you have excelled in then please do not hesitate in applying!
